“Self portrait is a portrait of yourself captured by yourself” and I cheated this rule. I was out photographing with my friend Nicola of Nicasa Photography. It is not until you try to take a self portrait that you realise how difficult it is to get the camera to the right setting and positioning yourself whilst fighting against the timer or having the remote pointing in the right direction. So my friend Nicola photographed with both mine and her camera and I went home and did the edits. The outfitswere a joint effort of mine and Nicolas wardrobe, however I do take credit for dressing my darling little girl 🙂
I enjoy following Kristen Caldwell and find her work inspirational especially her creativity and use of jumping. With the net skirt and umbrella I just could not stop thinking of Mary Poppins and said – Nicola lets do some jumping shots Mary Poppins style.
