We ended 2013 with a move to Norway. Due to the impact an International move have on the family and my children I have made the decision to put my photography business a bit on the back burner and focus on my family and get settled in our new life.
Even though I am putting my photography business on the backburner, I still love capturing images and had to channel my passion for photography.
I have focused so much on my customers the past two years and this has meant that I have not done anything with our own images. They are captured, shared and stored but not displayed or presented in a lovely album. The very products I encourage my customers to buy to make sure they have something physical to touch and look at.
When I was packing up my house to move, I found the photo albums I so lovingly sat and glued and created with images of her first years. I have nothing to look back at for my second daughter as life came in the way and it was such a sad moment to realise this. So apart from promising myself to create photo albums I also decided to do an Annual photo project and I created Project 52 – my life.
The project is simply to capture 1 event a week giving me 52 events at the end of the year. These events will be the every day events that I experience with my family or in my life. It can be a trip to the park, bed time, baking, out on an outing… the things we do throughout the year. In the end I will have a photo album with 52 pages with a snap shot of my life in 2013.
