Isn’t it amazing how fast time pass us by. My youngest has now turned six years old. Since her last birthday there has been a few milestones and events
- Started a new nursery and established new friendships
- Got enrolled for school, a visit to school to meet with her teacher and class.
- Learnt how to ski and manage to run down a hill on her own.
- Has started gymnastics and can now do a Cartwheel and a Bridge.
- Just to mention a few…
By her next birthday I am pretty sure she will have lost her first tooth…
Looking back at the year I have seen a girl who have grown a lot, yet she is a petite girl. My little girl was so excite about the prospects of turning six. But when the day came, when we celebrated her sixth birthday she was convinced it was not her real birthday. It transpires that she did thought that by turning six she would grow big, in growing big she thought she was going to grow to the same hight as her friends. She was really surprised that she was still the same height and with that in mind she thought that she was still five, she could not believe how she could be “big” and a year older when she was still the same size. Somehow I struggle to come to terms with how fast life is passing us by, how big our girls are becoming and I can see that my girl regardless of how tall she is, is ready for the next chapter. I look forward to seeing her starting school and watching her learn how to read and write.
Prior to her birthday the two of us had a shopping trip to Barna i Gata to look for a party dress, a new outfit to mark her turning six. At the shop every dress I pulled from the rack got a big fat NO, and then she pulled out two dresses from I Love Gorgeous and her hear was set on the Cilla dress. She also picked some gorgeous pink shoes from I Love Gorgeous to match her outfit. The sun was shining on her birthday so we used the opportunity to go to a nearby field for some photos of her and her big sister to celebrate this event.
Her big sister is wearing the same outfit by Tutu Du Monde that you spotted my youngest wearing in my previous blog post. I love when we get clothes that both girls can wear.
