Week 41 – Working out | By Evy Photography

Gymnastics has become part of our life, when you have a daughter who loves going to gymnastics it naturally turns into a lifestyle. Right now she is messing about too much in the gym and not as focused as she used to be. There has been a lot of factors playing in and I guess at time we are the same. If there are too many things going on in life you can loose focus. I would love to do a photo session in the gym so these were just some test images to see what the moves looks like on the beam.

Week 40 – Baby Evan | Stavanger newborn photographer

I have done so well with Project 52, but I have found it hard to get motivated these past weeks. Fall is here to stay. It is dark in the morning when I leave for work and dark when I arrive home. I love photographing natural light but I should not let the weather stop me capturing the greatness of my girls.

However, since I never got around to photographing my own children I have decided to share a session from this week. This is 10 days old baby Evan and his 2 year old big sister. They were a joy to photograph and with the change of weather I just could not resist a few images using the winter hat.

Evan’ mum had lovingly knitted the cute blueberry hat for her son so we had to make sure this were featured in some of the images.

Week 39 Cinnamon Roll Night | By Evy Photography

Ever since my daughter  was diagnosed with Coeliac I have avoided to bake with dough . We have perfected some cakes and cupcakes but not ventured down the road of baking buns, breads etc. Prior to her diagnoses we often made home made pizza, Cinnamon swirls, sweet buns etc. The girls used to love rolling out the dough and sprinkle with Sugar and Cinnamon.

This week I decided not to let it get the better of me. I was going to have a battle with the sticky, non agreeable glutenfree dough. I had found a link on pinterest to a different way of making cinnamon rolls and decided to give it a shot. So as per the

instructions I melted some butter, prepared a bowl of cinnamon and sugar and proceede to make little balls, stick them in butter then cinnamon and sugar and put them in little cupcake cases. Sadly my cupcake tin was lost in the move and the kids were eager to taste before bedtime so I didn’t let the dough rise long enough.

After we enjoyed a bedtime snack of home made cinnamon rolls it was time for bed. Daddy was away with work so I gave my daughter a special treat of sharing a bed with mummy. So she settled into bed with her favourite book and read for 10 minutes before going to sleep.

Week 38 Gymnastics in Bergen | Stavanger Fotograf

A weekend of quality time with mummy and mummy to just enjoy being a very very proud mummy. My big girl and I travelled to Bergen for one night to attend her first big gymnastics competition. She was nervous and did her best. For the first time she got to see her scores and was not at all pleased with the end result but I am proud and happy as long as she does her best. Hopefully that dissapointment just encourage her to keep trying and keep improving.

In addition to doing what she love we also got to spend the weekend with good friends, go shopping and visit the aquarium.

Lisa & Marek | Stavanger bryllups fotografering

We had the pleasure of being a part of Lisa and Marek’s big day at Esselmont Estate, Ellon. Esselmont Estate is private owned where the owner runs a marqee company and when the bride and groom enquired about marqee hire they were offered to have the wedding at his ground. After visiting the ground it is clear to see why they fell in love and choose to take him up on the offer and be the first couple to have their weddings at his Estate.
The setting was spectacular with the well kept garden, it was private and unique.

We started the day at the brides childhood home in Newmachar, after moving away it was nice to be back to the place I called my home in UK. The house was full of love and we watched a very relaxed bride get ready for her big day.

The bride and groom wished for an outdoor ceremony and was delighted when the sun was shining. It was truly the perfect weather for an outdoor ceremony with little wind, clear blue skies and with temperatures above 20.
The couple had an old retro styled car and with the permission of the owner it did feature in our photoshoot of the wedding party. After our group shoot the groom had spotted a trampoline and was eager go get on it and even managed to convince the bride to join him. He had so much fun I am surprised we got him off.
Walking back to the wedding party we took the bride and groom on a little detour to explore the gardens and for some private couple time. It was a magical day and one the bride and groom will look back at with joy.

Below is a selection of the many images I captured during their day.
Thank you for trusting us to be part of your big day
