Trip to the woods | Trollskogen, Stavanger fotograf

One weekend I met up with this family for a lifestyle family session in Trollskogen, Stavanger. I had never visited Trollskogen before and it was a well hidden pocket of woods. The woods had these amazing long trees that just made you feel a little lost and hidden away from the busy world around. Whilst walking around the woods you are taking by a bit of a surprise when you realise these high trees meet the coast on the other side. The day was dry but we had a cold wind and it was amazing how much the trees offered us a shelter. Mum and I spoke briefly about the wardrobe and I love how well they all coordinated.

Despite how windy and cold it was, the family did amazing.

Sisters | Location Photography | Stavanger Fotograf

I am blessed with some of the best friends and whilst in Aberdeen over Christmas I was asked if I would mind photographing my friends two adorable girls and I was happy to oblige. It is not easy to get two sisters together for location photographs but these two did fantastic.

We met down at Beach Boulevard one cold and Sunny December morning, I was not quite sure how the girls would act in front of the camera, however they blew me away and I ended up with a large selection for their parents. Although we chose the beach as the location, it has a lot of backdrops great for photography to create a variety of looks. We also found a shopping trolly left behind and could not help but have a bit of fun.

Baby Alessandra | Newborn Photographer Stavanger

The last few weeks waiting for your baby arrive is filled with anticipation, joy and days that seem to take too long to pass by. You just want that day to arrive and when you do you just want it to slow down. Baby Photography freeze a moment in time, that very short time of your baby being classed as a newborn, when they are so tiny and curled up and practically perfect in every way.

I photographed Baby Alessandra’s mum when she was expecting and it is always a joy to be part of this special journey and then meet her when she finally arrived. I am sure you will all agree that she is simply adorable. Her session was a little challenging and she kept moving in her sleep but after 4 hours we were left with a selection of images for her gallery. Hope you enjoy this small selection of images.

The Easter Bunny came to visit | Stavanger fotograf

During Easter me and the girls joined my parents at their cabin. For some reason I always hope that the opportunity will be there for a fun shoot and pack a few items of clothing with that in mind. In my bag was the absolutely gorgeous Bunny Hoody from Oeuf NY and I matched it with a golden cream baggy bottoms from Wheat Clothing. I usually shop a lot of my clothes online, however these items have been purchased from local stores. Capone Kids in Madla Stock a classic range of designer clothes, whilst Barna i Gata in Sandnes stock more unusual brands maybe with a combination of retro, quirky and classic and we find a lot of gems in this store.

Easter was filled with experiences and a lot of proud mummy moments. My girl was specifically taken by the Easter bunny who left an Easter Egg filled with treats outside in the snow. She was amused by the bunny footprints in the snow and kept wondering if she would spot the Easter Bunny. It did not take a lot of guidance to help kick of imagination play, a basked filled with eggs that she helped fill up with little treats and wearing her little hoody in the warm Easter sun she spent an hour playing Easter Bunny and I spent an hour watching her from a distance capturing this moment.

There is something so amazing about a child’s ability to take on imaginary play, live in their own world without a care of the surroundings or people around them. All she needed was this adorable bunny hoody and a basket filled with some Easter eggs. Towards the end she requested a bunny nose and with the lack of makeup the only thing we had at hand was a red lipliner. I hope you enjoy this series of images as much as I do.
