I just realised that I never shared the images from my girls clowning around.

It was a couple of years ago I came up with the idea of a storybook project (if you want you can go to my website and view my storybook project so far. The plan was to take childrens storybooks and turn them into images. I love the stories of Pippi Longstocking (Pippi Langstrømpe) and it brings back a lot of happy childhood memories of watching the movies as a child. In one of the stories Pippi ran away to the circus and with that in mind I got a circus tent and I also had a number of items to use and on a hot sunny day in September me and my girls played circus.

My youngest started off as Pippi and ended up as the clown. My eldest was the ringmaster who was in charge of introducing all the acts. I myself was also clowning around but there was no one there to see me with my face painted as a clown.

After we were done with our little circus act we continued with a face painting session in the circus tent. I will avoid sharing images of that in fear of giving you a scare as my children decided that it was a good idea for mummy to be a smurf.
