Our Elf on the shelf

A couple of years ago I spent a lot of time on flickr sharing photos and getting inspiration from photographers all over the world… a reminder to myself is that I should still use this amazing source. During this time I kept seeing some cute elf pictures and I really wanted to do something similar. It was only this year that someone posted a picture of a book they had purchased called Elf on the shelf. I recognised the elf and quickly purchased the book myself.

The book is called Elf on the Shelf and it comes as a pack with both book and elf. The elf is one of Santa’s scouts and once your receive your elf you go to their website to adopt it and give it a name. Your Elf comes with special Christmas magic and watch over your children every day and while they are at sleep fly back to Santa to report on their behaviour. When they return in the morning you will find them in a new place in the house. Sometimes the elf can be a little bit mischievious too.

Our Elf on the Shelf arrived on 1st December 2012, we received a little girl and she took along a present to the girls. My daughters decided to name her Amalie and so the adventures began.

Day 1 – Look who’s here

I’ve just come across your blog and it is wonderful! I love your photography style, you’re extremely gifted!

Just a note to tell you that I’m coeliac as well and that the Tesco’s Baking Powder isn’t safe. It’s in the directory but unfortunately if you google it you’ll get lots of forums, I had problems with it as well! I use the Barkat gluten-free baking powder and have no problem with it at all 🙂 ReplyCancel
