How time fly. It is now 7 years since our first daughter was born. I somehow can’t believe I am the mum to a 7 year old and I wonder how it is possible for life to fly by – if it could only slow down to allow me time to obsorbe the scenery. The scenery being my amazing daughter, her accomplishments, her beautiful personality – she is such a joy to be around.
To celebrate her 7th birthday my daughter invited her friends to a Vintage Princess Tea Party where the girl enjoyed a tea party, decorated cupcakes, had their hair done and decorated with a crown and off course got to pose in front of the camera.
Because my daughter has coeliac I organised every detail of this party to ensure that all food served and sweets was gluten free. I spent hours in the kitchen baking cup cakes and decorating cakes. I got a lot of inspiration for the pink layered cake from pinterest, and I could not help myself and had to test out the ruffle icing technique.
On departing I had a vintage sweet stall full of pink and white sweets for the children to help themselves to. They loved choosing their goodies for the party bags, so much so I never even got a chance to take a photo.
It was a fantastic party and I think all the girls loved it. Although I had planned to take a lot of photos I had to focus my energy on organising the party but I will share a couple of snaps from this lovely day.
Now all I have to do is find some time to sit down and organise thank you cards with my daughter and share the rest of my party snaps with the parents.
