There is a weekly challenge on I heart faces and this week is Photojournalism. With my daughter being investigated for Coeliac disease I felt I had a story to tell.
So what is coeliac disease?
It is an autoimmune disease and for people with coeliac disease eating gluten will trigger an auto immune reaction. By eating gluten you will damage the lining of the small intestine. The side effects for this disease differ and it can be hard to diagnose it.
For my daughter the initial trigger for me to take her to the doctor was the changes in her skin complexion and the trigger for the doctor was her low iron store.
On Thursday 26th August my daughter was in hospital for an endoscopy where they were looking at her lower intestine and taking biopsy. Now we are waiting on the result from the biopsy to confirm that she do have Coeliac.
These images were taken in a local wheat field. I wanted to take some images to mark the changes we have ahead of us.
Sadly for those following my blog you will already have seen these images.
Blessings to you and yours in the days ahead. This diptych is just lovely.
Such a sweet wistful feeling in this picture. I love that her hair is the same color as the wheat….
Oh, I just love the colors on this!
Lovely job. I hope your daughter fares well.
beautiful pictures. I hope the doctors give you the answers you are needing. God bless!
